The Westinghouse-designed Hamilton Sundstrand generator that provides electric power to the F-5, two (2) per aircraft, are long out of production.
These units have been repaired or overhauled many times, often with just a quick clean and revarnish, that they are now in need of replacement.
COC’s Revolutionary Support for F-5 & T-38 has teamed up with a renowned aircraft electric motor company to remanufacture these generators.
COC is also providing a 2-Year Warranty on these generators.
Scope of Work
Perform teardown, test and evaluation of part.
Provide cost to completely remanufacture unit based on findings.

Complete Re-manufacture with State-Of-The-Art Components
COC completely remanufactures the F-5 Generator using state of the art components, processes and finishes. Replacing a 70’s and 80’s designed component of an aging Northrop F-5 fighter, with a higher and better performing generator.
The Generator, including the Stator, Rotor, and End-Bell will be remanufactured to the specifications of T.O. 8A6-5-8-3 and T.O. 8A6-5-8-4.
The rotors are remanufactured, replacing the windings, insulation, and spacers systems, allowing for the resetting of the service life clock. Similarly for the generator stator, it will have new stator coils, slot content materials, series, and phase connections, as well as end winding basket components and insulators.
Armatures are remanufactured with insulators, finger plates and commutators.
A remanufactured F-5 Generator will result in better aircraft performance and provide power when needed.

Re-manufactured Components
In addition to remanufacturing the major components such as the Rotor, Stator and End- Bell, the outer housings are media cleaned, then primed and painted to the specified military specifications.
To your right is a sample list of the most common components that are remanufactured or repaired.
All generators are thoroughly tested in accordance with Section VII of the Technical Manual, number T.O. 8A6-5-8-3, before they are sent back to the customer.
